SUPPORT “YOUTH CAN” SUMMER CAMP

“Youth Can” program is bringing summer camp experience to its students. This opportunity was made available to children who could previously only dream about it thanks to generous donors and the Kazickas Family Foundation. We invite you to contribute and bring the experience of summer camp free of charge to children who need the financial assistance. All administrative expenses, transportation, equipment are already covered by the KFF. We need your help to cover the lodging and food expenses. Eight days in Kintai for one camper cost 150 eur. To contribute and make children’s dreams come true:

Campers: 34 (ages 13 – 17)

Supervising Adults: 4 Youth Can coaches

Educators: 4

Location: Kintai , Klaipeda region*

Goal:

Through sports, performing arts lessons, team building activities and nature outings, campers will cultivate their identities, explore Lithuanian heritage and search for creative ways to express themselves

Summer camp:   

“Youth Can” “HI – 5”:

Each day will have at least one segment of 5 main parts:

 

  • Sports activities (volleyball, basketball, dancing, water sports (kiting, paddle boarding))

 

will keep campers physically active, will allow them to discover their strengths and interests while building their sportsmanship and social skills.

 

  • Culture immersion through Performing arts education (acting and  public speaking)

 

will teach campers to identify and express their feelings and opinions, while building confidence on stage and in various situations in life; will equip campers with techniques to discover culture and be creative.

 

  • Nature exploration through guided tours on land and water

 

will allow campers to  connect with nature, while contributing to their well being, offering discoveries of treasures of nature, and strengthening their connection to their homeland.

 

  • Friendship building by team activities and daily reflections by the bonfire

 

will improve campers’ self-confidence, mental health, and contribute to their overall success and happiness.

 

  • Lithuanian pride ( folk song and dance, discovery of local history)

 

will be strengthened to help campers to become patriots and ambassadors of their country and its heritage.
