250 “Youth Can” children visit Vilnius

On April 5th, 250  “Youth Can” children from all program’s locations in Lithuania visited Vilnius – the capital of Lithuania.

The children went to the Bernardine Garden and the Palace of the Grand Dukes where they not only saw two exhibitions, but also climbed up to the observation tower to enjoy the panoramic view of Vilnius.

The highlight of their visit became the fundraising concert “For the Victory to Live”, organised by the Rimantas Kaukenas Charitable Foundation to support children in their fight with cancer. The girls were thrilled to see and hear the most famous Lithuanian pop stars such as Marijonas Mikutavičius, Vidas Bareikis, Saulius Prusaitis, Donatas Montvydas and others perform live. „I will never forget the last performances of the concert and the story of the museum“ – said Vakare, a girl from Joniskelis team.

“Youth Can“ program manager Arminas Vareika was truly excited that over 250 “Youth Can” children and friends attended the event. According to Arminas, this was only possible thanks to the close friendship with the Rimantas Kaukenas Charitable Foundation. „This concert was not only a fantastic opportunity for our program‘s children to see some of their favorite artists, but also to learn empathy“ – said Arminas Vareika.
